I have been a terrible blogger, but what's new? A few things have happened.
1. I had a birthday.
It was a wonderful day, just a simple evening while I was showered in gifts and love. I really couldn't have complained.
2. Chantal and Bren had their beautiful baby girl
10.29.10. Anna Kalia McRae. 7lbs. 19 inches. full head of hair.
3. Wedding dress drama.
So I ordered a wedding dress wayyy back in August. It wasn't a dress I would have picked to try on, but through some convincing I tried it on, right after the girl in the dressing room next to mine(which... it was about a size too small on her) . After putting it on, falling in love with it, and convincing myself to spend that much on a dress I'll wear for only one day, I told the lady I wanted it. Well, the lady told me that the girl next to me that was trying it on had it on hold, and it was the only one of my size in the store. On hold? What the heck does that even mean? It meant that they had to call her and she has to buy it right then and there or it was mine! If she didn't answer the phone it would also be all mine. Well, they called. She answered, and she bought. So the nice lady called another store to see if they happened to have it. Well, guess what? They didn't. I was screwed. UNTIL the nice lady remembered the last shipment of that dress ran a little big, and if they could find one of the old shipment in a size smaller, it should fit me like a glove. Well, surprise surprise. Since there weren't many of that dress made, there was no such luck. I was bummed and pretty much over wedding dresses for the day. So, I was ready to leave when the lady told me they could order one. I was hesitant. I didn't want to wait 5 million years for a dress. ..... I did anyway. After 14 weeks --14 WEEKS PEOPLE-- it finally came. I was so excited!! I went to the store, slipped into the dress, zipped up the dress, and then about cried. My dress was not my dress! It didn't fit. I was about the have the biggest bridezilla moment anyone in Orem, Utah was about to see. Luckily for Orem, the store manager came over to talk to me. I told her all about the the "dress drama" She agreed that the dress was about 500 sizes too big. So... the store decided they were going to pay the cost of basically taking apart a dress to make it fit me, and altering it anyway that I want it. I have a fitting tomorrow and let's just say that this dress better fit or else I think bridezilla will be unleashed. But seriously.
4. Disneyland
The soon-to-be mister and I took a little trip to the happiest place on earth.( Which was much needed after my dress fitting.) This time we went with his brother Tyler, his wife Chantelle (the one who provided the babe-a-licious hair for the engagements) and their two girls Riley and Payton. It was an adventure to drive 10 hours with a 3 year old and a 1 year old. There were a lot of disney movies, crying, and string cheese pieces. It was an awesome experience to take little kids to D-land but, It was also a great form of birth control (not that I don't already have that covered). Oh, and I saw my cousin Kristina, whom I haven't seen in years.
5. Wedding
If finally feels like it is happening. In just 64 days. I have a groom, temple, reception site, dress, and photographer, and my list ends there. Yes, I still have a million things to do. I am fully aware. I am also accepting all ideas and help. I have ideas, I just need to execute them. I will get the ball rolling. I promise.
That is enough for tonight. Good night.
P.s This post is dedicated to Jo. She said, I never update my blog.
