One Day.

 Today is a special day! Today is my Grandpa Joe's Birthday. Sadly, I wasn't able to wish him a Happy Birthday, because he was taken to a better place almost 14 years ago. He was a great man. Everyone in his hometown (which he never left) knew and loved him. Every time I go back, and people hear my last name they ask me "Are you Joe Varela's granddaughter?" I was young when my grandpa was taken, but I do remember him very well still.
 I can honestly say: I had the best grandpa in the world. He honestly probably loved me more then my parents do. I wish he could see me today. I know he would be so PROUD of the woman I have become. I know I am not perfect, actually I am pretty far from it. One thing I do know is that I have overcome a lot of trials in my life. I have beat the odds, and I am going to be successful.
 I am so blessed that I have the Church in my life. I know that since my grandpa is watching over me, he has see the positive impact the Church has had on my life, that he will accept the gospel, knowing that he can be with me again one day!
 Grandpa Joe I love you! I can't wait to be with you again someday. XOXO
