The Dynamic Duo

The boy:
Colby James Ray Nelson. Has lived in DC, Cali, Fl, and now Utah, so he is not  really "from" anywhere. Could eat pizza every day, likes crazy t-shirts, and loves Rashell. Colby served a mormon mission in Fort Worth, TX and is currently going to UVU (Utah Valley University). His major is undecided, but he is going to law school with whatever major he ends up doing. Colby is working at Wal-mart ( ok ok .. the credit union in it) and keeping Rashell happy (which could be a full time job in itself).

The girl:
Rashell Andrea Varela. From Cali, makes up her own words to songs, loves the sunshine and Colby. Rashell started school at Snow College and now is finishing up at UVU. She is majoring in communications with a emphasis on speech theory with a minor in behavioral science ( not really as fancy as it sounds). Rashell is currently working as a server at Chef's Table, which is a nice little restaurant in Orem, UT, and planning a wedding.

The soon to be Nelson's:
They met the summer of 2008 at a chocolate pudding slip-n-slide. Colby showed up wearing some short shorts and a Jr. Jazz jersey. Rashell just had moved to Provo from Snow College, so she wasn't used to these kinds of shenanigans ( mind you, people, I was living in a town with one stop light... count it: one). Nothing too magical happened; we slipped, we slided, and we were covered in chocolate with no water. No water meant nowhere to clean off, beside the Branbury's(student housing complex in Provo) hot tub.. Rashell told a couple friends she thought Colby was hot (even though he looked slightly ridiculous) .... which in reply she was told that he was just Colby...

Colby and Rashell talked in the hot tub, but alas, no numbers were exchanged or anything of importance. The only connection they had was that they were facebook friends. During the next year and a half, they stalked each other and said this, that, and another as they saw each other at school. Rashell dated a few boys, while Colby dated everyone (some slightly crazy... but seriously).

Colby and Rashell finally reconnected at a surprise birthday party for a mutual friend. However, unfortunately for Colby, Rashell was dating someone.... they would talk every once in awhile and Rashell would see Colby at Wal-mart (naturally, because he works there). He would ask her out, but she would blow him off (not in a mean way), but finally Colby put an offer on the table Rashell couldn't refuse- to go to an NBA game.

They went, made a bet (Rashell hates the Jazz, so she was hoping they would lose to Lebron and the Cavs), and Sundiata Gaines made a shot that rang around the world (or at least in Energy Solutions Arena). Rashell lost the best, which was to take Colby out on a second date, and the rest is history ......
